STACKPOLE ELECTRONICS, INC. INTRODUCES THE TR100 SERIES OF TO-247 STYLE POWER FILM RESISTORS

RALEIGH, NC (Oct. 14, 2008) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc. today announced the release of the TR100 resistor. The TR100 is a power resistor capable of 100 watts power dissipation at 25C in a TO 247 package size. This type of resistor is ideal for power system designers that are already utilizing a heat sink for their power IC's. The heat sink mountable resistors give the design engineer a simple solution to their high wattage requirements in a relatively small package. Ideal applications include: instrumentation, metering, avionics, and can be used with a wide variety of high power applications.

The TR100 is 15.75mm wide by 20.7mm high and less than 5mm thick with a lead spacing of 10.16mm. It is available in values from 1 ohm to 10K ohms, tolerances as low as 0.5% and TCR's down to 50 ppm. The TR100 expands this product line that is already known for its excellent performance and relatively low cost. As with other products in this series, the TR 100 is RoHS compliant.

The TR Series is available in standard tube or bulk packaging in 700 and 1000 pcs quantities depending on packaging. Pricing varies with resistance value, size, and tolerance and generally ranges from $5.00 to $6.50 each in minimum quantities. Contact Stackpole for volume pricing.
