HIGH CURRENT FOUR TERMINAL SHUNT RESISTORS FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

RALEIGH, NC (June 2, 2009) - The HLD Series is a four terminal low resistance value current sensing resistor series. The open design allows more heat dissipation into the ambient air and effectively lowers board temperatures. The HLD Series comes in 1, 3, and 5 watt package sizes that measure roughly 1 inch long by 0.25 inches wide, but can be customized to fit a wide variety of customer size constraints. This extremely low inductance resistor is capable of tolerances down to 1% and TCR's down to 50 ppm and the four terminal connection means very accurate sensing over a wide range of power loading. Typical resistance values range from 0.003 to 0.1.

The HLD Series is a good choice for robust applications including industrial automation and controls, satellite power systems, remote communication system power control and monitoring, motor controls, and surge protection.

The HLD Series is available in 100 pcs bulk quantities. Pricing varies widely with resistance value, size, tolerance, and ranges from $0.75 to $2.50 each in 100 piece quantities.
