RALEIGH, NC (Mar. 10, 2010) - Stackpole Electronics Inc. announced the addition of the RAVF052D chip array to their convex termination chip resistor array product offering. This size is the equivalent of two 0201 size discrete resistors, yet is easier for placement machines and reduces manufacturing costs associated with placing a component.
Kory Schroeder, Director of Marketing for Stackpole states, "With the continued trend toward downsizing, many customers now realize some of the drawbacks to using smaller and smaller chip resistors, such as much slower placement speeds. Using a chip array with two isolated elements increases the size of the component such that it can usually be placed at the same speed as an 0402. This high placement speed is critical in high volume applications which use like resistor values."
The RAVF052D is available in resistance values ranging from 3 ohms to 1 Meg ohms, in standard tolerances of 2% and 5%. They are available in 10K pieces quantities on standard 7 inch reels.
